What we use
Two things, both essential:
- Session cookie — set when you sign in, cleared when you sign out. Lets the backend recognise you between requests.
- Cookie-consent flag — stored in your browser's localStorage to remember whether you've dismissed the banner.
What we don't use
- No Google Analytics, Plausible, Fathom, or any other analytics
- No Hotjar, FullStory, LogRocket, or session replay
- No Facebook Pixel, Google Ads, or marketing trackers
- No Segment or first-party-tracker frameworks
- No third-party fonts (fonts are self-hosted via Next.js)
Privacy isn't a feature we charge for. It's the baseline.
Updating your preferences
To clear the consent flag, open your browser's developer tools, navigate to Application → Local Storage, and delete the octopin_cookie_consent key.
Sign out of your account to clear the session cookie.
